Are You Growing Old?

When you stop growing, you start ageing. It is so also in the spiritual sense. Ageing is inevitable, physically. If you do not want to age spiritually, make sure you keep growing!

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Cor 4:16-18 (NKJV)

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:17,18 (NKJV)

Listen! God is Speaking to You!! Part 7

Are you desiring to do God's will but unable to discern what it is? God has promised to instruct us, lead us and guide us during our lifetime.

Psalm 32:8 (NKJV)
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

We are asked to trust Him in every situation and ask Him for direction.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

How does the Lord direct our path? a mother would instruct her 3 year old son using few simple words and actions. Her teen age son would understand more complex messages. Her grown up son would have a greater understanding of his mother, that even a nod or an expression would be sufficient for him to respond to her.

The Lord, our Maker and our Heavenly Father also makes His instructions clear to each of His children. He can speak to us through;-

signs - unusual sights or appearances,

wonders - unusual situations, or occurrances

dreams and visions,

people's counsel and advice,

prophetic word

scripture and scripture based material,

the voice of the Holy Spirit within.

When you follow a sign, you will see a wonder. When the shepherds followed the instruction of the angels to the sign of a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger, which is unusual, they saw a wonder. The wonder of the Almighty God in the form of a baby! His name shall be called Wonderful!!

Taking one step in obedience to God makes the next step clearer.

A radio has many channels and you have to tune into the right one to get what you desire. Similarly, there are many channels in the heavenly realm, passing information and suggestions through many media and people, all the time. If we are fine tuned to God, we wil hear what He is saying to us. For this to happen, my motives and my attitudes have to be in line with God's. My motive has to be to see His kingdom and His righteousness in my life and in the lives of others. My attitude has to be pure love for God and others.

At times I wonder why my son cannot hear me calling him. I go down to his room and hear the sound of music coming out of his room. I knock on his door and he stll cannot hear me. I open the door and see him seated with his head phones on, playing and listening to music. Not until I gently touch him does he respond to me.This does not mean that my son does not love me or wants to ignore me when I speak to him. Is this your situation with God?

God, on His part, is instructing us as He has promised. If the communication has not reached you, search out the problem on your side.

It could be disobedience,

lack of trust in the Lord,

wrong motives,

wrong attitudes,

or a mind filled with carnality or other priorities.

If your mind is open to know God's will and your heart submissive to the Holy Spirit, the confirmation of walking in God's path is, a beautiful peace in your heart.

May you find the Lord Jesus, and His peace in your heart for He is the Prince of Peace.

Written Identity

Whenever we leave home, it is important that we carry with us a proof of identity. On the school bus, at an accident site, at army check points, at airports and at many entry points and various other places, we are required to produce a written identity. Verbal explanation of who we are may not suffice. An ID card, passport or driver's licence will serve the purpose.

Similarly, as Christians, we need to always carry a written identity in the spiritual sense. We have to write God's word in our mind and heart.

Proverbs 3:3 (NKJV)
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,

In the wilderness, the devil, desiring to bring confusion and disruption to the relationship Jesus had with The Father, said to Him, " If You are the Son of God......" he does the same to God's children now. Jesus overcame all three temptations by producing the written evidence, saying, " It is written......." May we diligently study the word and memorise scripture to overcome the viles of the enemy. Carry the word of God in your heart and mind and the image and likeness of Christ in your life, to prove who you are in Christ.

John 1:12 (NKJV)
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

Isaiah 49:15 (NKJV)
15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.

John 15:15 (NKJV)
15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

John 10:14 (NKJV)
14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.

Hosea 2:19-20 (NKJV)
19 “I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me In righteousness and justice, In lovingkindness and mercy; 20 I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know the Lord.

Listen! God is Speaking to You!! Part 6

Psalm 19:1-4a (NKJV)
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world.

Parents talk to their babies from the time of their birth. The baby starts responding with a smile after a few months. Such responses bring much joy into the hearts of the parents. As time goes on, the child begins to understand the simple language spoken by the parents and responds specifically through actions and words. In this manner, a close relationship of love and understanding is built up between parents and children.

This is also true in our spiritual walk with our Heavenly Father. He speaks simple words in a language that we understand. He is waiting for our first responses. He desires to build up a relationship with us. Are you acknowledging Him and responding to His messages of love? Learn God's language and make sure you get the meanings right by using the dictionary - The Bible! Following are a few examples.

Birds: Matthew 6:26 (NKJV)
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Flowers: Matthew 6:28-30 (NKJV)
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

Mountains: Isaiah 54:10 (NKJV)
10 For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Rainbow: Genesis 9:13-16 (NKJV)
13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”

As you begin to acknowledge God and respond to these messages, they will become clearer. more specific and personal. Messages from God will touch your heart because they are words of truth coming from the heart of God - the right word to you at the right time.

When you are tired, washing up at the kitchen sink, your mind filled the burden of the many household chores, the soapy suds reflecting the rainbow colours remind you of God's covenant relationship with you! It is a message from God saying to you , "I AM looking upon you favourably. Take a moment to consider My glory and My grace will strengthen you."

While parked at a railway crossing, feeling somewhat low, you look out the window and some yellow flowers by the road side catch your attention and you know that your loving Father has put them there for you because your favcourite colour is yellow! That's a note from your Heavenly Father to say " I love you. Cheer up!"

Learn God's language diligently! You'll find it very exciting!!

Listen! God is Speaking to You!! Part 5

Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)
3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Just like a child calling its father, we can come to our Heavenly Father, calling Him, " Abba, Father."

A father anxiously waits at the telephone for a call from his child who is away from home. Although our Heavenly Father knows everything, He loves to hear us calling Him. He is waiting with a love-filled heart to answer you. Calling God or praying is the key to the windows of heaven. He is waiting to show you great and mighty things you do not know.

You can speak to Him right now from where you are. God's line of communication is never too busy. He is always 'Online' for you. It is your turn to call Him and speak to Him now.

Isaiah 65:24 (NKJV)
24 “It shall come to pass That before they call, I will answer; And while they are still speaking, I will hear.

Listen! God is Speaking to You!! Part 4

Isaiah 51:12-13 (NKJV)
12 “I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass? 13 And you forget the Lord your Maker, Who stretched out the heavens And laid the foundations of the earth; You have feared continually every day Because of the fury of the oppressor, When he has prepared to destroy. And where is the fury of the oppressor?

God is introducing Himself to you as the One Who comforts you. When you come to know God, you come to know who you are. When you understand that this God Who comforts you is your Maker, the Eternal God, you can overcome the fear of men whose lives are transient. Your Maker is the One who also streched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. This knowledge will bring you out of bondage and the oppression of the enemy into the freedom of knowing and serving God. He will look upon you favourably. He does not oppress but he will cover you with the shadow of His hand, put His words in your mouth and fulfil His purpose in making you, you!

You have been loosed from captivity and oppression. Arise! Yield yourself into the hand of your Maker. He knows you well, so come as you are and get to know your Maker.

Listen! God is Speaking to You!! Part 3

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NKJV)
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Are you at the cross road, wondering which turn to take? You do not know whom to trust and whose advice to take. Why not turn to the Lord who only has your good at heart. When you search for Him with all your heart, you will find Him. When you find Him, you will also find peace. Your searchings will come to an end and you will begin to walk in the knowledge of God, in wisdom and in understanding.

Will you now call upon God, and go and pray to Him? He will listen to you.

Will you seek Him with all your heart? You will find Him and find peace and liberty.

Listen! God is Speaking to You!! Part 2

Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV)
3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

The Lord draws us to Himself with His love. He is our loving Heavenly Father. His love is also like that of a mothers's love for her nursing child.

Isaiah 49:15 (NKJV)
15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.God is graciously and mercifully reaching out to you with love. Will you respond and come so that you may find security and comfort in His embrace?

Listen! God is Speaking to You!! Part 1

Isaiah 43:1
But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

God created you. He formed you. When you were lost and under the control of the enemy, He redeemed you by giving the life of His own Son, Jesus, as a ransom. He is calling you by your name because you rightfully belong to Him. He loves you. He desires to reflect His light and glory through you in this dark world. He also has a special, good plan for your life. He will walk with you through your life on earth. He is waiting for you with outstretched arms. Will you respond to His call and come to Him?

Pointers to Hell

While we are on our journey in this earth, we come across many deceptive road signs that lead to hell. Naturally, you would be foolish to drive on any road that would take you to the edge of a dangerous precipice, even if it is scenic and adventurous. You would avoid an old and rickety bridge that runs across a rough, deep river.

'DANGER AHEAD ! DO NOT PROCEED !' -Would be the sign put out by a wise and well-meaning person at such places.

Proverbs 5:1-5 (NKJV)
1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom; Lend your ear to my understanding,
2 That you may preserve discretion, And your lips may keep knowledge.
3 For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, And her mouth is smoother than oil;
4 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword.
5 Her feet go down to death, Her steps lay hold of hell.

Proverbs 9:13-18 (NKJV)
13 A foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple, and knows nothing.
14 For she sits at the door of her house, On a seat by the highest places of the city,
15 To call to those who pass by, Who go straight on their way:
16 "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here"; And as for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
17 "Stolen water is sweet, And bread eaten in secret is pleasant."
18 But he does not know that the dead are there, That her guests are in the depths of hell.

Just like a seductress wooing a young man, the devil diverts those who desire spiritual fulfillment. Any teaching that denies the reality of hell is a deception of the devil. Any worldly system or place that makes fun of hell is a manifestation of the work of the enemy. Anyone using the word 'hell' to give it the appearance that it is a harmless place, is giving a foothold for the enemy of our souls.

The crafty plan of the wicked one, the serpant of old, is not only to tell you lies about hell, but also to bring you into sinful ways that lead to hell.

Everyone born into this world walks the path of sin towards hell until he/she takes a turn towards God through Jesus Christ. This is the only path that leads to heaven. Heaven is a state of joyous bliss which cannot be compared to the delight of a delicious pizza when you are starving. Neither is hell like a succulent pizza that satisfies your hunger. Don't be decieved.

Beware! Hell is a real place of eternal torment. Turn into the path of life right now, before it is too late.

Proverbs 10:17 (NKJV)
17 He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray.

John 3:16 (NKJV)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

The Pathway to Hell

Have you ever lost your way, or rather, got lost in the way? You started off with confidence that you knew how to get to the place you desired to go, but somehow, you missed a turn or took a wrong turn.

Do you feel lost in life? Do you ask yourself who am I? What am I here for and where am I heading?

In fact all of us have been lost and have strayed from the path of life. The whole world lies under the sway of the Devil- the wicked one. Wickedness is the pathway to hell. Loving God and loving people in a Godly manner is righteousness that leads to heaven.

Right here and now you are at the crossroad. Hope is given to you as you encounter the cross of CHRIST. JESUS, through His suffering and death, has paid for your transport to the path of life, however far you may have deviated. Be saved today from eternal punishment in hell by accepting and following the LORD JESUS who is the living GOD.

1 John 5:19-20 (NKJV)
19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Let us continually turn away from the broad streets and by-roads named fornication, filthiness, adultery, covetousness, hatred, lying, foolish talking, coarse-jesting, murder etc.

Sin is like a seductress

Proverbs 7:21-27 (NKJV)
21 With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him.
22 Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,
23 Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, He did not know it would cost his life.
24 Now therefore, listen to me, my children; Pay attention to the words of my mouth:
25 Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths;
26 For she has cast down many wounded, And all who were slain by her were strong men.
27 Her house is the way to hell, Descending to the chambers of death.

Let us control ourselves and not miss the right turns into the narrow streets named selflessness, humility, fear of God and love. Let us whole heartedly take the by-road called 'service' to feed, clothe, and shelter the poor. Let us not forget to turn into Hospital Road to visit the sick and go downhill to Prison Street to visit those in captivity. Let us joyously travel on the highway of holiness with thanksgiving and praises to our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

As we bow low to worship Him and wait on Him, we will be relieved of every burden and find ourselves soaring high, as on eagle's wings. This is the way to heaven.

Ephesians 5:1-2 (NKJV)
1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

Isaiah 35:8-10 (NKJV)
8 A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.
9 No lion shall be there, Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it; It shall not be found there. But the redeemed shall walk there,
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

What is Hell?

Hell is everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. It is described in the scriptures as

A furnace of fire

Where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth

Where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth

Outer darkness

Where their worm does not die,

and the fire is not quenched!

The great dragon, that serpent of old called the Devil and Satan was cast out of heaven because of pride. He knows that his destiny is eternal punishment in hell. Therefore while in transit on the earth, with great wrath, he deceives people into following him to hell. Hell is fulfilled when the wicked, evil Devil is cast in there.

"Hell from beneath is excited about you, To meet you at your coming; Your pomp is brought down to Sheol, And the sound of your stringed instruments; The maggot is spread under you, And worms cover you.' (Isaiah 14:9a, 11)

God's plan for people is, eternal life in heaven.

For God so loved the world (the people) that He gave His only begotten Son (JESUS), that whoever believes in Him should not perish (in hell) but have everlasting life (in heaven). ( John 3:16)

Before we leave this earth, we have to choose heaven or hell for our eternal habitation.

God alone has the authority to cast anyone into hell. The Bible says that "The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God." (Psalm 9:17)

Have you made your decision?

You can decide right now by humbling yourself, bowing your knees and repenting of all your wickedness. Confess your sins to God. Receive God's forgiveness through JESUS CHRIST, Who took the punishment for your sins. Commit your life to the Lord JESUS, and He will put you on the path of righteousness and lead you to eternal life in heaven.

Only One Way

Every morning as I sit at my desk, I take pleasure in glancing at the sea through the window. When I walk with my husband, down the street, which runs parallel to the beach, the sea looks calm and blue and inviting. We pass many paths that run towards the beach. I look longingly down these paths and wonder how many of them go down to the beach. Most of these paths are broad and beautiful and well-maintained and I like to imagine walking down one of them right down to the beach, to the very edge of the water. Unfortunately none of these paths lead down to the beach but at the end of each path is a private property-someone's home, and the path ends there. However, there is one narrow, and difficult path that does lead right down to the beach.

Since the time sin seperated man from God, man's heart has been seeking for spiritual fulfilment. All of creation reveal to us the glory of the Almighty God, like the view of the sea through my window. The faithfulness of the loving God is made manifest every morning with the rising sun. But then, there is only one way to reach the Father heart of God. All other paths will lead us to a blind end-to personalities and not to God. There is only one person through whom our relationship with our Creator can be restored. 2000 years ago, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to make a pathway from Heaven to earth and from earth to Heaven. Now we have access to our Heavenly home.

John 14:1-6 (NKJV)
1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
4 And where I go you know, and the way you know."
5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The Exchange

Isaiah 43:1 (NKJV)
1 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

1 Peter 1:18-19 (NKJV)
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

Isaiah 52:3 (NKJV)
3 For thus says the Lord: "You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you shall be redeemed without money."

Matthew 13:4-5 (NKJV)
4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them.
5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth.
Matthew 13:46 (NKJV)
46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

All laws set on this earth, help in keeping the balance. Whenever there is no balance, there is trouble and an eccentric or deviant progress. So, the Old Testament law says "eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, life for life. As he has done, so it shall be done to him, so that evil may be put away from you."

God settled the payment for all evil when He sent His Son Jesus into the world. 2000 years ago, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, lived a perfect, sinless life, suffered at the hands of people, having been falsely condemned. He was cruelly crucified and died, paying the price for the sin of humanity in all the earth in all generations. He rose again and proclaimed the victory over satan and sin.

We can now come to the 'bank of Calvary', and process the exchange by confessing our sins and repenting of them and leaving them at the cross of Jesus. What we recieve is new life.

Any of the following and more of such things are accepted at the 'bank of Calvary'.

Guilt, shame, lies, anger, bitterness, hurt, pride, murder, hatred, depression, low self-esteem, pain, confusion etc.

Tarry at the cross till you are relieved of all you want to be rid of. Take all that is available for you in return such as- forgiveness, peace, love, freedom, joy, gratitude, heart and mouth of praise to God and newness of life. This is the salvation of your soul. This is the most profitable exchange transaction you could ever make.

Mark 8:37 (NKJV)
37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

Note the current exchange- Lay down your life to gain eternal life. Let Jesus live through you.

Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Now remember to maintain this balance by being Christ-like in your exchange transactions with others.

Freely you have recieved, freely give.

Matthew 5:38-45 (NKJV)
38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'
39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.
41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Something beautiful, something good
All my confusion, HE understood
All I had to offer HIM, was brokeness and strife
But HE made something beautiful of my life

Root of Bitterness: Time for Weeding!

Do you have difficulty in worshiping the Lord joyfully? Do you have a problem in your relationship with any person? Do you lack peace in your soul? It's time to check your heart for roots of bitterness.

You may be angry with someone. You may be trying to judge someone by their behaviour or words. Thoughts put into your mind by others or ideas caused by unresolved issues with God or others put out roots of bitteness that go down into your heart. This reults in a wrong heart attitude towards God and others. The fruits that are produced by such roots are words and actions that cause problems. Unfortunately, the problem doesn't stop there. Wrong words and and actions are like seeds that can be sown in the minds of people around. If these seeds aren't destroyed, they will defile the souls of those people.

When the thirsty Israelites arrived in Marah and eagerly went for the water there, they found that it was bitter. Are you thirsting for fulfilling relationships with God and with people, but find it is impossible because of the bitterness in yoiur soul?

God showed Moses a tree, which he cast into the waters and the bitter waters were made sweet. That tree was a pointer to the tree on which Jesus Christ hung for you and me. Come to the Cross of Christ and linger there till the bitterness of your soul is turned into sweetness.

Hebrews 12:14-15
14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

Jesus is my everything, He is my all
He is my everything, both great and small
He gave His life for me, made everything new
He is my everything, none other will do

Like honey in the rock, sweet honey in the rock
For He tastes like honey in the rock
Oh taste and see that the Lord is good
Fort He tastes like honey in the rock.

Time for Weeding!

Do not spare the weed, pull out with the root:

Sow God's word - the seed, you will see good fruit.

If you see weeds, such as greed, cheating, suspicion, and lack of love for people, check your heart for a root called "The love of money"! Striving to shake of these bad attitudes is like cutting of the stems of weeds. It will not be too long before the weeds start flourishing again.

You can check your own heart by observing your reaction when you are given money and when money is taken from you. Learn to hold money in your hand. Don't let it preoccupy your mind, lest it sends roots into your heart. This, in time grows and produces fruit with many evil attitudes. Therefore make an effort to diligently root out love of money from your heart.

1 Timothy 6:6-12
" Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses".
