"Lord, do You not care?"

On the same day, when evening had come, JESUS said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.”  Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him.  And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.  But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”  Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.  But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”  And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”   Mark 4:35-41 (NKJV)

Are you in a situation similar to that of the disciples of JESUS? He is in the same boat with you, but seems to be asleep, ignorant of the danger you are facing because of the great storm. "Lord, where are You? Are You aware of the trouble I am facing? Do You care for me? Are You able to save me?" Is this your heart's cry?

The Lord says, " Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.   Matthew 10:29-31 (NKJV)

The Bible tells us that God cares for us.
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.   1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV)

To the disciples, the storm was a test of their faith. There was no way  they could perish having JESUS with them in the boat. Not only would they not perish now, but they would not perish eternally if they believed in JESUS.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.   John 3:16 (NKJV)

At such times therefore, we need to believe and trust in the Lord and have faith in Him. He knows your situation. He loves you and cares for you. He is well able to save you. He is always Faithful
