Renewing of the Mind - 1

    Renewing Of The Mind

corona means 'crown'.

The corona virus has a resemblance to a crown when seen under the electron microscope.

Spiritually, crown depicts the head and the mind.
It would therefore be appropriate for us to study about the mind, from the word of GOD.

What is GOD speaking to us through this?

What is the Almighty GOD alerting us to, spiritually, that is towards eternity?

Renew means make new again. We renew our clothing by washing and pressing them. Old houses and cars may be repaired, painted and renewed. In fact any item can be renewed  by taking away from it certain parts, putting in some parts, correcting or repairing it and washing and cleaning it. The mind is like a computer into which information is fed all the time we are awake. The source of information could be our experiences, what we have been taught, or information from the 5 senses - seen, heard, smelt, tasted or touched. As ‘Everything that glitters is not gold’, every information the mind receives is not true. During the course of life we keep learning and keep renewing our minds.
The process of renewing involves cleaning dirty thoughts, weeding out thoughts that are unprofitable, correcting wrong ideas and putting in the truth. This can be compared to clearing a computer of viruses and reprogramming it.

The mind has to be renewed according to the truth in the aspects of the following:--
Maker
Me
  Man, Marriage, Motherhood
   Money
     Medicine
       Music
         Motorcar
           Ministry
             Missions

Jeremiah 1:9-10
Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant."

Each person has the liberty to make a decision about renewing his or her mind.
Plan your life and give time towards receiving the right knowledge. Be wise in choosing what to read, watch and listen to.
Act on that plan and be disciplined. Forsake wrong or unnecessary information. Decide against going to evil places, watching unedifying movies, reading books or magazines that are lustful, browsing through catalogues which lure you into carnal purchases.
Psalms 101:3
I will set nothing wicked before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not cling to me.
Psalms 119:36-37
Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to covetousness.
Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your way.

Although we cannot avoid seeing or hearing unprofitable material, we can train our thought process. We can be selective in what we think on.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.

We are kept in bondage by the lies of the enemy.
GOD’S word is truth. Knowing it and abiding in it makes us free.
John 8:31-32

God’s word is truth. It cleans, corrects, enlightens and renews the mind.
John 15:3
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Take time to prayerfully and diligently study the word of God personally.
Listen to sermons of servants of God and review them by searching the scriptures yourself.
Make use of good Christian resources to feed your mind.

Let not your mind be preoccupied and crowned by the coronavirus. The sickness inflicted to the soul by the coronavirus is fear.

Allow your heart to be filled with GOD'S love by the truth of the word of GOD.
There is no fear in love;
but perfect love casts out fear,
because fear involves torment.
But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18
