ESTHER - 2
Chapter 2
Submission and favor
Esther 2:7
And Mordecai had brought up Hadassah,
that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter,
for she had neither father nor mother.
The young woman was lovely and beautiful.
When her father and mother died,
Mordecai took her as his own daughter.
Just as Esther was adopted by Mordecai
We have been adopted
To be called the children of GOD.
Romans 8:15
For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear,
but you received the Spirit of adoption
by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
Esther 2:9
Now the young woman pleased him,
and she obtained his favor;
so he readily gave beauty preparations to her,
besides her allowance.
Then seven choice maidservants were provided for her
from the king's palace,
and he moved her and her maidservants
to the best place in the house of the women.
When we are ushered into the Kingdom of GOD
we are given the wholesome Holy Spirit
depicted by the seven maidservants.
GOD’S grace brings us under His favor
enabling us to receive more than what we deserve.
This favor also gives us favor in the eyes of people.
Esther 2:10
Esther had not revealed her people or family,
for Mordecai had charged her not to reveal it.
Esther 2:20
Now Esther had not revealed her family and her people,
just as Mordecai had charged her,
for Esther obeyed the command of Mordecai
as when she was brought up by him.
Esther 2:15
Now when the turn came for Esther
the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai,
who had taken her as his daughter,
to go in to the king,
she requested nothing
but what Hegai the king's eunuch,
the custodian of the women, advised.
And Esther obtained favor
in the sight of all who saw her.
The submissive attitude portrayed by Esther
drew her into the favor of people.
A girl should obey her father
and then her husband
and should carry the attitude of submission at all times.
Such a gentle and quiet spirit
gives her the inner beauty.
Even if I have the liberty to decide,
do I still take advice?
1 Peter 3:1-6
Wives, likewise,
be submissive to your own husbands,
that even if some do not obey the word,
they, without a word,
may be won by the conduct of their wives,
when they observe your chaste conduct
accompanied by fear.
Do not let your adornment
be merely outward-
-arranging the hair, wearing gold,
or putting on fine apparel-
- rather let it be the hidden person of the heart,
with the incorruptible beauty
of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which is very precious in the sight of God.
For in this manner,
in former times,
the holy women who trusted in God
also adorned themselves,
being submissive to their own husbands,
as Sarah obeyed Abraham,
calling him lord,
whose daughters you are
if you do good
and are not afraid with any terror.
Esther 2:12
Each young woman's turn came
to go in to King Ahasuerus
after she had completed twelve months' preparation,
according to the regulations for the women,
for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned:
six months with oil of myrrh,
and six months with perfumes
and preparations for beautifying women.
Daniel 12:10
"Many shall be purified,
made white, and refined,
but the wicked shall do wickedly;
and none of the wicked shall understand,
but the wise shall understand.
The LORD Himself purifies and beautifies us spiritually as His Bride.
Ephesians 5:25-28
Husbands, love your wives,
just as Christ also loved the church
and gave Himself for her,
that He might sanctify and cleanse her
with the washing of water by the word,
that He might present her to Himself
a glorious church,
not having spot or wrinkle
or any such thing,
but that she should be holy
and without blemish.
So husbands ought to love their own wives
as their own bodies;
he who loves his wife loves himself.
Esther 2:13
Thus prepared,
each young woman went to the king,
and she was given whatever she desired
to take with her from the women's quarters
to the king's palace.
An offering is a gift of freewill to the LORD.
Esther 2:16
So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus,
into his royal palace,
in the tenth month,
which is the month of Tebeth,
in the seventh year of his reign.
|
The seventh year speaks about completion.
Entering into an intimate relationship
with the LORD
gives one the potential
to have a life of fulfilment and completion.
Colossians 2:6,10
As you therefore
have received Christ Jesus the Lord,
so walk in Him,..
.. and you are complete in Him,
who is the head of all principality and power.
Esther 2:17
The king loved Esther
more than all the other women,
and she obtained grace and favor in his sight
more than all the virgins;
so he set the royal crown upon her head
and made her queen instead of Vashti.
The spiritual Church will be chosen
and will replace the carnal Church.
Selflessness and Humility
will be the hallmark of the
Bride Of CHRIST.
Having spiritual understanding
and willingness to die to self
depicts the crown of life
on the head of the Bride of CHRIST.
Your spiritual mind
has to take over your carnal mind.
Has your mind been renewed
According to GOD’S word?
Revelation 2:10
"Do not fear any of those things
which you are about to suffer.
Indeed, the devil
is about to throw some of you into prison,
that you may be tested,
and you will have tribulation ten days
. Be faithful until death,
and I will give you the crown of life.
Philippians 2:5-9
Let this mind be in you
which was also in Christ Jesus,
who, being in the form of God,
did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
but made Himself of no reputation,
taking the form of a bondservant,
and coming in the likeness of men.
And being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself
and became obedient to the point of death,
even the death of the cross.
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him
and given Him the name
which is above every name,
Esther 2:18
Then the king made a great feast,
the Feast of Esther,
for all his officials and servants;
and he proclaimed a holiday
in the provinces
and gave gifts
according to the generosity of a king.
Revelation 19:7-9
"Let us be glad
and rejoice and give Him glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and His wife has made herself ready."
And to her it was granted
to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright,
for the fine linen
is the righteous acts of the saints.
Then he said to me, "Write:
'Blessed are those
who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'
" And he said to me,
"These are the true sayings of God."
Esther 2:21-23
In those days,
while Mordecai sat within the king's gate,
two of the king's eunuchs,
Bigthan and Teresh,
doorkeepers, became furious
and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.
So the matter became known to Mordecai,
who told Queen Esther,
and Esther informed the king
in Mordecai's name.
And when an inquiry was made into the matter,
it was confirmed,
and both were hanged on a gallows;
and it was written in the book of the chronicles
in the presence of the king.
The fallen angel, the devil, sets snares
and works against GOD’S Kingdom
and GOD’S people.
It is the LORD
Who exposes the enemy’s evil plans
and He preserves us.
What the LORD has done is written in the Bible.
