Ways to Overcome FEAR!

There was no fear in Adam or Eve or in any living creature before the fall.

When Adam and Eve were deceived by the devil to disobey GOD and eat of the forbidden fruit, they became afraid of GOD. The man and woman who were walking in the love of GOD and were clothed in the glory of GOD, were stripped naked of their glory-covering and hid themselves from the LORD GOD.

Sin in us makes us afraid of the Holy GOD and pushes us away from Him.

Position with GOD

Therefore,

 since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken,

 let us have grace,

 by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.

 Hebrews 12:28-29

He who does not love does not know God,  for God is love.  1 John 4:8  GOD is love and He is also a consuming fire. A person who stands far away from GOD is not even afraid of Him because he does not know that GOD is a consuming fire! As you draw closer, you become conscious of the sin in you which the fire of GOD will consume. The fire that surrounds this Holy, Holy, Holy GOD prevents anything unclean and any defilement entering into His presence. If your heart is to get closer to GOD, He reaches out to you with His grace revealed through the LORD JESUS, through the fire and into His loving presence. GOD'S heart is love - tender, compassionate, pure, amazing, unconditional love that passes human understanding! Now you find yourself in the path of love, righteousness, wisdom and glory. While you are walking this path you may veer towards the boundary through ignorance, carelessness and realize that you are nearing the fire of GOD. That fire of GOD teaches you the fear of GOD that will keep you within the boundary lines in the love of GOD. We see Uzza zapped by the fire of GOD in 1 Chron 13:10. We also see Ananias and Saphira who were a part of the Body of CHRIST fall dead because they lied about their finances to Peter and to the Holy Spirit. Acts 5:1-10

"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him  who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.  "Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?  And not one of them falls to the ground  apart from your Father's will.  "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  "Do not fear therefore;  you are of more value than many sparrows.  Matthew 10:28-31

Now all the people witnessed the thunderings,  the lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet,  and the mountain smoking;  and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off.  Then they said to Moses,  "You speak with us, and we will hear;  but let not God speak with us, lest we die."  And Moses said to the people,  "Do not fear;  for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin." So the people stood afar off,  but Moses drew near the thick darkness where God was.  Exodus 20:18-21 When you are convicted of sin, repent, confess and put away all sin. Then the grace of GOD will draw you through the boundary of fire into His amazing love. Walking in the fear of GOD will keep you in a place where you are free from all other fear. Promises of GOD

"And you shall know the truth,  and the truth shall make you free."  John 8:32  Many things we fear are based on the deception of the devil who is the father of all lies. Even the true things he says are either only half the truth or twisted truth! The devil uses people and the systems of this world as his agents. We need to therefore diligently study GOD'S word to weed out the lies that may have been ingrained and instilled in us from childhood. The devil and his ways seem big and strong and intimidating like Goliath who made the army of Israel tremble in their boots and flee. David, because of his relationship with GOD through faith, saw Goliath as an uncircumcised Philistine, an enemy of GOD's people. It took only one little stone from David's simple sling to make the 9 foot 9 inch tall strong giant into a 9 foot 9 inch long helpless corpse! So will you be able to bring down fears in your life with the truth of the word of GOD. Our lives are controlled by the things we have been told, the experiences we have had and the traditions and systems of our nation and the world. We can ask ourselves why we do what we do and why we don't do what we don't do. Is your life controlled by fear or by the love of the LORD?

And we know that all things work together for good  to those who love God,  to those who are the called according to His purpose.  Romans 8:28 Therefore do not fear any painful situation you may have to face. Ask the LORD what He is teaching you and you will come out victoriously - a better person with a greater understanding of the love of GOD! Do you fear death?

Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood,  He Himself likewise shared in the same,  that through death  He might destroy him who had the power of death,  that is, the devil,  and release those who through fear of death  were all their lifetime subject to bondage.  Hebrews 2:14-15  You can overcome this fear by the hope of resurrection! The sting of death which is sin, is removed by salvation through the LORD JESUS.  You don't need to focus on death while on earth. Enjoy life and peace as you constantly carry the hope of a glorious eternal life at death. Are you preoccupied with the fear of lack of provision? Is that fear driving you to pursue more work for yourself, more work for your spouse, ways to make more money, ways to make your money grow? Your Heavenly Father takes the responsibility to provide for all your needs as you live to serve Him.

"Therefore do not worry, saying,  'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?'  or 'What shall we wear?'  "For after all these things the Gentiles seek.  For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,  and all these things shall be added to you.  "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,  for tomorrow will worry about its own things.  Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:31-34 Do not be anxious about your future, but seek the LORD regarding His plan for you and obey Him.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil,  to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me,  and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me,  when you search for Me with all your heart.  Jeremiah 29:11-13  Are you living with the fear that you might fall spiritually?

Therefore let him who thinks he stands  take heed lest he fall.  1 Corinthians 10:12  This fear is based on a lie because you have already fallen and you continue to fall. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD. You cannot stand on your own! If you are standing 'In CHRIST', your confidence is in Him and there can be no fear!

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,  And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory  with exceeding joy,  To God our Savior, Who alone is wise,  Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power,  Both now and forever. Amen.  Jude 1:24-25  Presence of GOD

And He said,  "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."  Exodus 33:14  Imagine a child who is afraid to walk through a dark tunnel. His Dad says to him, "Do not fear, there is nothing in that tunnel that can harm you." The child may take courage to walk through the dark tunnel. Imagine how confident that child would feel if his Dad says to him, "I will hold your hand and walk with you through the dark tunnel."! Fear not, for I am with you;  Be not dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you,  I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. ' For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand,  Saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.'  Isaiah 41:10, 13 Even as the LORD has promised to be with us, we need to abide in Him and walk with Him.

"I am the vine, you are the branches.  He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit;  for without Me you can do nothing.  John 15:5  Meditating on His word, praising Him and praying without ceasing strengthens our faith and causes the LORD to abide in us.  Obeying  GOD'S commandment in loving the brethren and living in right relationship with each other in the body of CHRIST, putting away oppression and rebellion, keeps us abiding in Him. Power of GOD

For God has not given us a spirit of fear,  but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  2 Timothy 1:7  The coward Peter transformed into a bold apostle when the power of the Holy Spirit came upon him at Pentecost. We read about prophet Samuel anointing David in 1 Samuel chapter 16. In chapter 17 we see David boldly fighting and bringing Goliath down. When you are under the oppressive spirit of fear which is of the devil, no change of situation can take away that fear in you.  If your fear is lack of provision, abundance of provision will still keep you in fear of lack in the future. If your fear is sickness, a clear report from the Doctor today will still keep you in fear of sickness in the future! As long as you live, the spirit of the fear of death will constantly hover over you and keep you in bondage. Ask for GOD'S Holy Spirit to come upon you. The anointing will destroy the yoke of bondage and set you free from the oppressive spirit of fear. Prayer to GOD As we walk through life, we tend to pick up and carry many burdens. Unless we release these burdens to the LORD in prayer continuously, we cannot be victorious in our Christian life nor be effective in our service for the Kingdom. "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 We should pray and intercede according to GOD'S heart in His presence until every burden is lifted off our shoulders. Only then can we come under His yoke to serve Him. When all your burden is lifted, you will find yourself experiencing a deep peace. That peace is found when you enter into His rest.

Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest,  let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.  Hebrews 4:1  If your desire is to rest eternally in His presence, you need to experience His rest here and now. We are asked to fear coming short of it! Following your physical rest each night, are you spending time with the LORD in the morning to find rest to your soul? Only in that place of rest will you clearly know the plan your Creator has for you and the work that He has for you to do. GOD rested with Adam and Eve on the sixth day after finishing His work. As for Adam and Eve, their first day was rest before starting work!

The LORD has taken away your judgments,  He has cast out your enemy.  The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst;  You shall see disaster no more.  Zephaniah 3:15

The LORD your God in your midst,  The Mighty One, will save;  He will rejoice over you with gladness,  He will rest in His love,  He will rejoice over you with singing."  Zephaniah 3:17
