Words of the enemy

Words of the enemy

The words of the enemy are arrogant, oppressive,
deceptive causing guilt, shame and confusion.
They make us doubt GOD’S word.
They cause fear.
They deceive.
They bring us under the control of worldly systems.
They bring us into bondage and oppression.

The enemy speaks to us through people,
through the systems of the world -
financial, business, commercial, health,
legal, authorities, media, entertainment

Now the serpent was more cunning
than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.
And he said to the woman,
"Has God indeed said,
'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"
And the woman said to the serpent,
"We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;
but of the fruit of the tree
which is in the midst of the garden,
God has said,
'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.' "
Then the serpent said to the woman,
"You will not surely die.
For God knows that in the day you eat of it
your eyes will be opened,
and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
Genesis 3:1-5

Then the Rabshakeh said to them, "Say now to Hezekiah,
'Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria:
"What confidence is this in which you trust?
I say you speak of having plans and power for war;
but they are mere words.
Now in whom do you trust, that you rebel against me?
Now therefore, I urge you,
give a pledge to my master the king of Assyria,
and I will give you two thousand horses-
-if you are able on your part to put riders on them!
Isaiah 36:4-5,8

Then he stood and cried out to the armies of Israel,
and said to them,
"Why have you come out to line up for battle?
Am I not a Philistine, and you the servants of Saul?
Choose a man for yourselves,
and let him come down to me.
If he is able to fight with me and kill me,
then we will be your servants.
But if I prevail against him and kill him,
then you shall be our servants and serve us."
And the Philistine said, "I defy the armies of Israel this day;
give me a man, that we may fight together."
1 Samuel 17:8-10

Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh,
"Thus says the Lord God of Israel:
'Let My people go,
that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.' "
And Pharaoh said,
"Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go?
I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go."
So they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us.
Please, let us go three days' journey into the desert
and sacrifice to the Lord our God,
lest He fall upon us with pestilence or with the sword."
Then the king of Egypt said to them,
"Moses and Aaron,
why do you take the people from their work?
Get back to your labor."
And Pharaoh said,
"Look, the people of the land are many now,
and you make them rest from their labor!"
So the same day Pharaoh commanded
the taskmasters of the people and their officers, saying,
"You shall no longer give the people
straw to make brick as before.
Let them go and gather straw for themselves.
And you shall lay on them the quota of bricks
which they made before.
You shall not reduce it. For they are idle;
therefore they cry out, saying,
'Let us go and sacrifice to our God.'
Let more work be laid on the men,
that they may labor in it, and let them not regard false words."
Exodus 5:1-9

And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done,
also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword.
Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying,
"So let the gods do to me, and more also,
if I do not make your life as the life of one of them
by tomorrow about this time."
1 Kings 19:1-2

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness
to be tempted by the devil.
And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights,
afterward He was hungry.
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said,
"If You are the Son of God,
command that these stones become bread."
Matthew 4:1-3

Then the devil took Him up into the holy city,
set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him,
"If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down.
For it is written:
'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and,
'In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.' "
Matthew 4:5-6

Again, the devil took Him up
on an exceedingly high mountain,
and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world
and their glory.
And he said to Him,
"All these things I will give You
if You will fall down and worship me."
Matthew 4:8-9

Where are you going?

Where are you going?

When you set out for a place the direction to which you don't know, the GPS will guide you -

But you have to decide where to go. The GPS will not make that decision for you.

GOD has given us the freewill to decide where we want to go in life.

Let us search our hearts and make a clear decision where we want to head -
What our goal in life is, where we want to finish this life and start eternity.

Just as we would make known to the GPS the specific 'destination' it requires, so it could lead us -
Let us make known to the LORD our heart's desire of the destination.

Then we can be sure our built-in GPS, the Gentle Promptings of the Spirit will lead and guide us.

Let us then be diligent to listen and obey!

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.
Psalm 32:8-9

And though the Lord gives you The bread of adversity and the water of affliction,
Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore,
But your eyes shall see your teachers.
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it,"
Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.
Isaiah 30:20-21

Make sure your destination is keyed in and your GPS is on today!!

I am lovingly walking with you in this wilderness journey..
