WAIT

WAIT

 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
 The Creator of the ends of the earth,
 Neither faints nor is weary
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:28-31

 Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalm 27:14

 Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you;
And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.
Isaiah 30:18

Waiting is not always easy but it is an essential part of life on earth.
Waiting is Anticipating Appearance of something or someone
or Increase of something, giving Time.

Waiting always involves time.

Whether it is charging a mobile phone, filling petrol in a vehicle or boiling water, we need to wait!

At bus stops, train stations, check-in, check-out counters, we wait.
While on a journey, kids become restless and often ask the parents "Are we there yet?"

After sowing a seed, after conception, after depositing money in the bank, we wait for growth.

The length of our wait or our endurance as we wait will depend much on what we do while we wait. There is an advertisement that says,' While you wait, have a Coke!'

Waiting on the LORD and waiting upon the LORD is the secret of the anticipated end in our spiritual journey. This means we seek the LORD by focussing on His word, praying and obeying the word and the promptings of His Spirit. We wait in faith to see GOD act.

Although it is on us to wait, it is for our sakes that the LORD waits for the right time to act.
It is not He Who has to change, but we who need to change.
As we wait, yielded to Him, only He knows when the time is right;
When our hearts are filled with His love;
When we are filled with His Spirit;
When our minds are overtaken by the Holy Spirit;
When we are able to see in the Spirit;
When we are able to hear Him;
When we are able to promptly obey Him;
When our hearts are perfect towards Him.

Like charging the mobile phone or filling the petrol tank, after the connection is made, we have to wait.
We receive what we are connected to - whether petrol or electric charge.
When we are connected to the LORD we receive of His nature -
His strength, His power, His might, His love, His grace, His patience -
We become like Him.
So we can be effective witnesses for Him.

There is no shortcut!
No time to charge your mobile phone means no charge on your phone!!
Let us make time and take time to get charged spiritually.
