Conveyor Belt or Treadmill?

Conveyor Belt or Treadmill?

Time doesn't stop but continues to tick away like a flowing stream.
The conveyor belt and the treadmill also keep moving like time.
They don't stop for us. We need to adjust to them.

The conveyor belt is like the systems and traditions of the world that keep moving with time.
The conveyor belt is used to move objects that don't move on their own.
The belt moves them. They are taken wherever the belt moves them to.
These objects are passive.

Like the treadmill, the Holy Spirit is moving with time, fulfilling GOD'S purposes on this earth.
Those on a treadmill are alive and active.
You have to be walking or running while on the treadmill.
If you stand passively, you will slide back.
In the spiritual sense, if you don't move with the moves of the Holy Spirit, you will be back sliding.

Our spiritual life is related to a walk.
When the LORD JESUS comes into our life, we need to keep in step with Him.
We need to walk in obedience to Him, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, Who keeps prompting us from within.

We as believers have to keep feeding on the word of GOD and keep progressing in our spiritual life.
If we do not live our spiritual life actively, we will be carried with the systems of this world. That is the process of spiritual backslide! We will be like the dead fish that flow with the river. The fish that are alive swim against the current so that their gills can extract oxygen from the flowing water.

Do not love the world or the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world-
-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-
-is not of the Father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it;
but he who does the will of God abides forever.
1 John 2:15-17

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord,
beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering,
bearing with one another in love,
endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:1-3

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us,
an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
Ephesians 5:1-2

For you were once darkness,
but now you are light in the Lord.
Walk as children of light
Ephesians 5:8

See then that you walk circumspectly
not as fools but as wise,
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
  Therefore do not be unwise,
but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Ephesians 5:15-17

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross,
 despising the shame,
and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2

Are you like an object on a conveyor belt

or like a person on a treadmill?
