Check out your eternal home

 Check out your eternal home

Does anyone think of moving into a home long term, without checking it out? After seeing the advertisements and picking the one we like most and the one that would suit us most, wouldn't we make every effort to visit it, look at it, explore the surroundings and check it out? If we are unable to visit it for some reason, wouldn't we check with some reliable source before making a decision?

For that matter, we will not mind using precious time researching even a house we want to rent short term or simply spend a holiday in.

Now how about your eternal home? Isn't it even more important to research about your eternal destination knowing that is where you are going to spend eternity? Can you take a chance and risk your eternal future?

There are only two places to pick from! If you don't pick Heaven - The presence of the Almighty, Living GOD - as your desired destination, the other option is eternal destruction away from the presence of this Loving, Gracious GOD!

You cannot find many reviews on Heaven or hell as we on earth cannot communicate with those who have gone before us! Those who leave the earth at death, leave it permanently and do not return to write a review about the eternal home. Yet there are a few individuals who have died, whose soul left their body for a few minutes or even for 48 hours. These were restored to life and gave an account of their experience when their soul left the body. Some were shown Heaven and some were shown hell and some saw both heaven and hell! Some, on their way to hell saw their loved one in Heaven! GOD graciously gave them another chance to live on earth to make the right decision about their eternal home!

The most reliable account is however in the Bible. There is a clear description about Heaven and hell especially in the last book of the Bible, the book of Revelation. The Bible also gives instructions as to how to get to Heaven and how to be assured of our eternal destination.

You should take it as a priority project to think and plan your eternal destination, as our life on earth is short and we may have to leave our earthly body suddenly or at short notice! An accident, sickness or old age can cause death. We had no choice coming into this world, but now we have a choice to make, going out!

Every day, every hour and every breath we take is a gracious gift from our Heavenly Father Whose desire is to have all His children with Him in His eternal home! Yet He has given us the freewill to make the choice.

The devil, the evil one will make you believe that all this is not true because his eternal destination is sealed in hell! He will resist you making a decision to follow the LORD JESUS CHRIST to Heaven. In his wickedness, cruelty and anger against GOD and all humanity, he wants you to follow him to hell through deception, lies and trickery. Let us beware of his ploys!

Whatever your situation on earth may be, don't think of taking your life or committing suicide. Your situation would be as jumping from the frying pan into the fire! Seek GOD through your troubles. He will reveal Himself to you. He loves you and He has a solution for your every problem.

Now we can understand why no one has the right to take another's life or even hasten another's death. It is often through pain and suffering that one is prepared for Heaven. When GOD knows that individual is prepared to be with Him in that Holy place, He takes him.

We have to wait for GOD to take us home in His time. In the meantime we can be preparing ourselves for those glorious mansions the LORD has already prepared for us!

 "Let not your heart be troubled;
you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father's house are many mansions;
if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and receive you to Myself;
that where I am, there you may be also.
John 14:1-3
