RAINBOW
Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
So the Lord said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
And Noah begot three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
Genesis 6:5-12
Isn't the earth in a very similar situation today?
Is not GOD'S heart grieved by the wicked ways of mankind?
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Genesis 6:8
Have you found grace in the eyes of GOD?
Do you diligently seek Him and seek His will and purpose for your life?
Do you have a desire to please GOD?
The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger. So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads," says the Lord God.
Ezekiel 22:29-31
Having found grace in the eyes of GOD, Noah became a point of grace - an intercessor, to see GOD'S grace extended to others.
"Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.
Genesis 6:14
Like the ark, we must diligently make our lives water-proof and water-tight by the Holy Spirit through constant prayer, so that we are not drowned in the flood of worldliness.
The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters.
And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered.
The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.
And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.
All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died.
Genesis 7:18-22
Those that survived the flood, were only the eight people of Noah's family and the creatures that went into the ark.
The people, and all creatures that had breath in their nostrils, that did not enter the ark, perished in the flood.
How about the fish? They did not enter the ark. They were the only creatures that were outside the ark and yet survived! How come?
The 'Breath of the spirit of life in the nostrils' is symbolic of spiritual life. It is a depiction of individuals who have their spirits revived by the Spirit of GOD and who are born again into the Kingdom of GOD.
Fish are a depiction of people who are of the world, in whom is the spirit of this world. Like the fish that have no air in their nostrils, are those whose spirits are not revived by the breath of the Spirit of GOD.
Those who are not born again spiritually, cannot enter the ark, which is the Kingdom of GOD.
Even those who are born again will not survive the flood, unless they enter the ark, that is the Kingdom of GOD and are found to be a part of the Body of CHRIST.
On the very same day Noah and Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark-- they and every beast after its kind, all cattle after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort. And they went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is the breath of life. So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in. Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.
Genesis 7:13-17
Those who were saved by the ark in the flood were only those who were found inside the ark, in one place, in relationship with each other. This is a depiction of the worldwide Body of CHRIST. This is the Bride of CHRIST, Who is in an intimate relationship with the LORD JESUS and in right relationship with one another.
The Bride of CHRIST consists of individuals who have overcome this world and the worldliness to live a spiritually victorious life. The greater the flood of worldliness, the higher the spiritual heights of the redeemed who will rise on the wings of the Holy Spirit, to be above the earth!!
The rainbow was only for those who escaped the flood by entering the ark.
And God said: "This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud;
and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.
The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth."
And God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant which I have established between Me and all flesh that is on the earth."
Genesis 9:12-17
The rainbow is the sign of the covenant initiated by GOD between Himself and man and all living creatures on earth. It displays the seven colors that appear when rays of light are refracted. Seven is GOD'S special number that depicts completion.
We must understand that any portrayal of colors made by man that might appear as a rainbow, but is different to the colors of the genuine rainbow and has less or more colors, is not a representation of a rainbow. In fact it shouldn't be called a rainbow. Since it appears as a rainbow at first sight, it is a deception.
Undermining GOD'S creative work and His authority and refusing to submit to GOD'S ways and instructions is the sin of rebellion and pride against GOD and sadly, such lifestyles, carry consequences.
The rainbow appears gloriously in the cloud as a reminder of GOD'S covenant of grace with mankind. Our eyes meet GOD'S eyes at the rainbow and our hearts are touched as we acknowledge and respond with love to our glorious and gracious GOD, Who desires to have such a close relationship with His mankind!
The rainbow is like a wedding ring - the sign of an eternal covenant of GOD with mankind. Therefore your response to a rainbow will indicate your relationship with the Eternal GOD!
If your heart responds with joy and excitement whenever you see a rainbow means that your heart is filled with GOD'S love and that you are in a covenant relationship with GOD!
And above the firmament over their heads was the likeness of a throne, in appearance like a sapphire stone; on the likeness of the throne was a likeness with the appearance of a man high above it.
Also from the appearance of His waist and upward I saw, as it were, the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it; and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw, as it were, the appearance of fire with brightness all around.
Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. So when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.
Ezekiel 1:26-28
So I arose and went out into the plain, and behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory which I saw by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face.
Ezekiel 3:23
Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
Isaiah 60:1-3
If you have experienced GOD'S love and seen His light, arise, to shine His light in this dark world!
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
If you have experienced GOD'S grace upon your life, arise and stand in the gap and pray for GOD'S grace to be extended to others, even to the wicked. Then GOD will answer from His Holy Heaven.
Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Revelation 5:8
Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand.
Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.
Revelation 8:3-5
The rainbow is a reflection of the glory of the LORD. There is a rainbow around the glorious throne of GOD in Heaven!
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this." Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.
Revelation 4:1-3
Do you have the 'Breath of Life' in you?
If you are still a 'Fish in the Water', this very moment you can open your heart to GOD, coming to Him in the name of JESUS CHRIST His Son. Ask Him to forgive your sins and receive His salvation which He accomplished for you by taking on the punishment for all your sin on the cross. As you give your life to Him, He will enter in, in the form of His Holy Spirit. You can then enter the ark and be saved in the flood!
If CHRIST is in you, you must make sure you are 'In CHRIST'.
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
John 15:5
If the Kingdom of GOD is in you, you must also be 'In the Kingdom of GOD'.
If you have the 'Breath of Life' in you, make sure that you are found 'In CHRIST', in relationship with those in the Body of CHRIST. Thus you will be 'In the ark' and not perish in the flood.
