PROGRESSING IN PROGRESS IN PRAYER!

 'Call to Me, and I will answer you,

and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'

Jeremiah 33:3

Prayer is our communication with the Almighty Living GOD, Who not only hears, but also answers. Therefore when we call on GOD, let us make sure to listen to His answer! Then He will show us great and mighty things we don’t know! Our mindset will change and our eyes will open to see His ways that are higher than ours!

 "Ask, and it will be given to you;

seek, and you will find;

knock, and it will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds,

and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Or what man is there among you who,

if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,

how much more will your Father who is in heaven

give good things to those who ask Him!

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them,

for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 7:7-12

Whether a petition or a question that you are coming with, GOD will respond to you. If you are asking for something good, He will give it to you. If you are seeking answers, He will speak to you. If you are knocking on the door of Heaven to know Him, He will begin to reveal Himself, His will and His glory to you!

When we walk in obedience to the Golden Rule, we position ourselves to receive those good things our Heavenly Father has to give us!

As we progress in our relationship with GOD, we will progress in our prayer life, from asking for things, to asking what the LORD requires of us, and then, to asking Him to reveal Himself to us. Then, as we grow in the knowledge of GOD, we will draw close to Him and hear His heartbeat. Then we will seek His Kingdom and His righteousness, we will seek the lost and we will surrender to His will in our lives.

 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

Yet indeed I also count all things loss

for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord,

for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish,

that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness,

which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ,

the righteousness which is from God by faith;

that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection,

and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Philippians 3:7-11

When our knocking leads us to ‘Knowing’ GOD.

 Then our seeking will lead to seeing Him.

   Our asking will become ‘Receiving in faith’ with thanksgiving, because it is aligned to GOD’S will and has already been released in Heaven!

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him,

that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask,

we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

1 John 5:14-15

 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,

that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,

holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

And do not be conformed to this world,

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:1-2

May we progress in our prayer life from selfish and soulish to spirit-led prayers. We may be selfish like kids and ask for good things mostly for ourselves. We may be soulishly doing good to others, desiring the same good from others. Although this may be acceptable to GOD, let us progress further to a spiritual mind to overcome evil with good which is the perfect will of GOD!
